Call it JA3 because all the others don’t exist
There were many forgettable games bearing the Jagged Alliance name that were released after the addition to Jagged Alliance 2, which are best forgotten. Haemimont Games has brought the series back to life once again with the release of Jagged Alliance 3, that Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN got to know. Thankfully the X-COM-like turn based system hasn’t been adopted in this version, instead you get a number of action points just like in the previous 2.5 games.
Jagged Alliance 3 also came up with a brilliant way to avoid the frustration of missing out on a 90% chance of hitting the alien close enough to literally have your gun in its mouth; you can never see your percentage chance to hit. This is meant to make the game smoother and more enjoyable, as you decide by eye whether you think it’s worth it or not. As with the only other two JA games, you can spend extra action points to increase your chances of hitting, plus hitting certain body parts will affect the victim’s abilities.
Apparently the chat isn’t the best part of the game, but not enough to completely ruin the game.
